Linking a Forum Account
Account linking allows a user to link his in-game account to his forum Account. This gives benefits such as allowing Platinum to work in game, out of game stats and more! It's straightforwards to link your account. Follow the instructions to do so.
Linking your account
Linking your account couldn't be more straightforwards! Enter any [BB]Server, and hit the F1 button. For our example, we will be using the [BB]Deathrun server to show you.
Pressing F1
On Deathrun, if you press F1, you will be greeted by a screen such as below:

Clicking the Account Link tab
Click the Account Link tab, and you will be greeted with a simple form waiting to have values inputted.

Filling in the details
Fill in your Forum Details in the provided boxes, then hit Ok.

Confirming your details
From hereon the process is fully automated. If everything goes smoothly and the details are correct, you should see something like this:
Final Notes
After your account is linked, give it a few moments before opening F1. This allows the web server to send the new information to the game server and your platinum should be activated. If this doesn't happen, just rejoin.
Troubleshooting problems / Related questions
Q: Help! It says my username / password is incorrect!
A: Your username / password is case sensitive. Ensure they're exactly as they are on the forums
Q: I've successfully linked my account to the forums, but my Platinum isn't appearing, even after a rejoin!
A: Make sure you've actually donated for Platinum. Many people get to the check-out, but do forget to pay.
Q: It still doesn't work!
A: Contact Teddi. Teddi can be contacted via PM on the forums.
Q: I've had x before and it was working on the server, why isn't it working now?
A: From time to time our webservers enjoy falling over themselves(See:dropping connection), however they tend to reconnect in under two minutes, so if your benefits are missing, simply rejoin to recieve them.
Q: Why does vBulletin say 25 years, yet you say life?
A: This isn't really an account link question, but anyhow, this is a problem with 32 bit systems, where the maximum date they can calculate is January, 2037, hence 25 years (or however years remain until Jan 2037).
Q: Wait, by doing this can't you see my password?
A: No. We encrypt your information via a SHA1 / MD5 module. No humans can read or understand this language (if they could, they would spend three lifetimes trying to even get the first 3 letters). However, if you're still totally insecure about sending your details to the forum database (Which is only reading if the user / password is the same), use a different username and password that is seperate from your steam account / whatever.
