The Gamemode

Death

Death operates the traps on any deathrun map, he/she is main oponent of the runners and must have good reflexies as well as the ability to not be faked out if he/she hopes to survive.

Runners

The runners are a group of individuals tossed into a nightmare of a place. How they ended up on death playing field is unkown, however should they dodge the traps and fool death they get a chance at revenge

Victory Conditions

Either all deaths or all runners must be killed.

Donations

Platinum members will receive

  • Extra Speed (25% extra speed)
  • Custom Models
  • Custom Trails
  • Extra Jump height (15% extra)
  • 200HP (+100 HP)

Traps

Deathrun traps come in many varieties depending on a map makers preference and theme. Here are the most common types.

  • Lasers
    • Lasers are colorful beams of death, if you see a laser do not touch it. I don't care if it's purple and burns happy face patterns in the f'ing wall. DO NOT TOUCH!
  • Iron Orbs
    • Many maps love to use the classic iron orbs, they are big, they are fast, they are round, and they want to crush you.
  • Poison gas
    • See an area that looks safe enough? maybe like a tunnel, but the walls don't look like a crusher? well then it may just be a poison gas chamber. Once trapped inside you will slowly choke to death as your team watches through the windows.
  • Crushers
    • Crushers, basically anything that's big, and tries to crush you. They may be equip with spikes to hint at the danger to runners.
  • Spinning platforms
    • Sometimes you may find yourself in a room with small platforms to jump across. Well just be on your guard because if they start spinning you may be thrown off or thrown into something deadly. These are classically round platforms and are difficult to tell apart from safe platforms.
  • Fans
    • Sure they might not look to ominous, but be careful. They could blow you off a cliff, or worse suck you in and chop you up!
  • Electricity
    • If you see some water that hasn't immediately killed your friends, then look around for hanging wires, sparks, anything. If death flips the switch it could ruin your day.
  • Fire
    • Fire bad.
  • Explosives
    • they blow up, beware the oil barrels.
  • Beams
    • Sometimes a big beam may come swinging by in an attempt to knock you off your platform, just play some jump rope.
  • Pitfalls
    • Cracked floors, glass floors, look for hints, don't be the fool who still falls in after it's been set off!
  • prop_physics
    • cars, cones, melons, if it comes flying at you then move.
