Zombie Escape

Note: Please be aware that the gamemode is still in beta technically. There's bugs and placeholder items everywhere so please bear with us.

Getting started

This gamemode uses Cubes for item and weapon purchases, and as such these are unlocked permanently. To open up the Zombie Escape store, press F2. To start playing, press F3.

If you do not have a loadout set up, you will be given random weapons each round until you buy your own weapons.

The Gamemode

Humans

There's a deadly virus going around and unfortunatly you're in one of the areas where it's spreading fast!

Zombies

Zombies are Humans that are infected. They lust to kill and chew upon the brains of Humans.

Victory Conditions

Either all Zombies or all Humans must be killed.

Earning Cubes

You can earn cubes by completing the following objectives:

• Killing a zombie (750 Cubes)
  • 250 Cube bonus for a headshot
• Surviving the round as a human (800 Cubes)
• Surviving the round as a zombie (450 Cubes)
• Clawing a human (200 Cubes)

Objective of this Gamemode

Humans

The objective of this gamemode as a Human is to avoid infection and get to the hold out area and defend it. Along the way you may encounter small hold out areas that you can temporarily use until it's time to move on again. If you hold out until the round is over you will automatically win the round.

Zombies

It is the Zombies role to effectively chase down all Humans and convert them into Zombies and once all Humans have been consumed the Zombies win. Whilst hunting down your prey, you will most likely encounter harmful traps that will harm you significantly. 20% of all players (rounded down to the nearest whole number) will randomly be chosen to play as Zombies. This will occur 20-30 seconds into the round starting.

Game Tips

• As Humans, the following is invaluable advice
  • Stick together. Humans only possess power in numbers.
  • Don't leave teammates behind, every teammate lost is a Zombie gained.
  • If you're at a checkpoint or temporary barricade, hold out as long as you can before closing it / destroying it. See above advice otherwise.
  • If there's only a single vehicle for everyone, try to wait for as many as possible. Taking the vehicle for yourself is just greedy.
  • Don't waste ammo. You get plenty of it and you'll use plenty of it.
  • Remember. Aim for the head.

• As Zombies:
  • You're fast, but you're pushed back easily. Sidestepping to avoid bullets is key to getting close.
  • Attempt to pick off any stragglers that have been left behind. One lost Human is one Extra Zombie
  • You're not invincible. Whilst you may have a large healthpool, lots of bullets can chew through that quickly.
  • Grouping up to rush a Barricade can be the difference between winning and losing.
  • A single touch is all you need to convert a Human into a Zombie.
