The Toolgun is the host of a multitude of useful tools. It's used heavily in most Garry's Mod gamemodes, and is the evolution of the simple tools included in Garry's Mod 9. It is one of the core elements of Garry's Mod.
The Toolgun's Parts
The Toolgun seems to made of:
- A LCD Screen
- A Thumbstick
- A Piece of Paper
- A Revolver without a ammunition firing mechanism
- Wiring
- A CPU
- A Spool of Copper Line (A generator?)
- A Battery
- 3 Indicator Lights
- A Flux Capacitor
- Electrical Tape

The Toolgun's LCD screen displays the tool's name in large font, as well as a few easter eggs...
Sandbox Item Stats and Information
- The Toolgun is free
- Some tools must be bought using in-game tokens
Roleplay Item Stats and Information
- The Toolgun is included in the Advanced Subscription along with the Physics Gun.
- The Toolgun cannot be obtained any other way, except being an Admin
- The Toolgun is mostly used to make Doors and Keypads
Stranded Item Stats and Information
- The Toolgun is obtained upon spawn with Platinum Membership
- The Toolgun cannot be obtained any other way, except being an Admin
- The Wield Constraint tool requires a Welder
- The Rope Constraint tool requires Rope
