The Newman case

The start of two brothers

Originally way back in November / December 2007 a "John Newman" started playing on [BB]. Although he abused, he usually recieved the odd warning and kick, but only once served a ban (week long).

Zack Newman originally started out as ringworm, and was near enough on [BB] from the start. He applied to be CP (however didn't recieve it) and thus eventually, disappeared from the server for a while, eventually returning as Zack Newman and recieving advanced

First signs of abusing

Business was as usual on [BB], filling up fast and requently, playing on Hometown 2000. Toolgun spamming by Zack was often heard, trying to spam rope or trying to prop kill. Or even just spam because he could.

Toolgun abuse + Physgun abuse

Zack although a complete ass, was helpful in that bugs and exploits could be patched quickly as he discovered them. One of these was the door exploit, which he would constantly use to get into places, or to remove other peoples props.

John started following in his brother's ideology, harrasing and abusing his tools. Although he wasn't so severe.

Second stages

Because Garrysmod 10 had literally came out a few months before, scripts were still young, and so people were still trying to understand some basic methods of protection (Alongside that, Garry hadn't even given half of the functions to garrysmod that we have today). So the ability to duplicate guns and druglabs did exist for a small time. Both brothers decided to do this to get money and started exploiting greater means. By this time Zack had been banned around 4 times, and John around two more times. However John usually got a few hours, whereas Zack had up to a few days.

Attempts to crash, exploit and destroy

Together, the brothers started griefing heavily, creating lazer jails (lazers were installed and used for defensive purposes) and all out being mingebags. This went on while admins weren't on, and thus the cleansing began.

The Cleansing

Eventually, one night Teddi logged on, and caught both brothers abusing heavily. John was banned permanantly on the spot, however Zack escaped into the night, thus leaving his brother posting an unban request and Zack posting abuse.

How the wilderbeast was caught

The next night, Teddi logged on under an alias, saw Zack and some buddies trying to spam PHX towers. Teddi banned him on the spot and the cleansing was complete. Zack never bothered to get an unban request, however John tried it again (and was rejected).

Most recent event

It appears John came back, although with a faint memory of what happened. He believed he was a sub admin and almost convinced Ben that he was. However Ben notifed Teddi asking him, and Teddi questioned John until he revealed who he was (he was under another alias). Teddi threatened him, and told him if he ever returned, he would make his life hell. John has not returned to this day.
