Lambda Resistance
General Information
Lambda Resistance was formed after BB went to HL2 RP, as an organization opposed to the combine. It was the reincarnation of The Syndicate from Classic RP. The Lambda Resistance is pre-Gordon Freeman, and is a part of the resistance you see in Half Life 2. The Lambda Resistance's goal was to oppose the combine in every way they can. While they are allied with citizens, and help them when they can, they are not their main goal like SR's goal. The Lambda Resistance was converted to The Human Resistance after Exuvae was demoted from his position as leader for "inactivity" by Teddi. A election was then held to determine the new leader after that. By majority of the vote, Maeve Keeva won the election, and became the new leader. She then renamed it The Human Resistance, and set about creating 4 new ranks (replacing all of the old ranks), and had everyone reapply for positions.
Current Status
Currently, the The Lambda Resistance/The Human Resistance is in stasis as everyone waits for RP09 to be released. Teddi has said that after a few updates, fixes, and additions to RP09, he may start working on Serious RP again. It will eventually be released, but the time and date are unknown at this time.
History
Leader Election
The Leader Election was announced by Teddi (after 5 days of considering whether to decide himself or to have an election), after the demotion of Exuvae for "inactivity". This was a time of general abandonment of Serious RP, with many members of the Lambda Resistance inactive. At first there were 3 candidates who stepped forward. John "Waffles" Brown, Maeve Keeva, and John Kira Whiteside. Kira actually had a "vote" 5 days before the election to ask if she should be the candidate, if Waffles should be the canidate, or if they should have a "Coalition". She asked everyone to not to step forward to "prevent a power struggle". Teddi then stepped in, and told her that he said to wait for him to decide, and that she was now barred from the election. Both of the remaining candidates had good support for their campaign. [Angry Biker] had stepped forward by this time, and got a fair amount of support. "Zelda" then stepped forward, however not many supported him because of previous blunders, and the fact that both Maeve Keeva and John "Waffles" Brown both had more experience, and were more popular generally. Then, even with the support he had, John "Waffles" Brown stepped down, because he was humble enough to decide that he does not roleplay enough to the support the group. He then gave his full support to Maeve.. Sleepy *The Dragon* Jenkins, then decided that he should run as well, but with a different organization system. He ran mostly because he was supporting Waffles, and now that Waffles stepped down, he thought there was no one that he really believed in as leader. He decided there would be 2 leaders, Sleepy, and Limlim, with Darkrip (Mike was his RP name, not to be confused by other Mikes) as a sub-leader. They thought that with 2 leaders (and one sub-leader), the Lambda Resistance would be more manageable, and inactivity would not be a problem. However, they were discredited by Maeve's experience, mainly because Sleepy, and Limlim were "newcomers" to a certain extent. When the vote came, hands down, Maeve won. She transformed the Lambda Resistance in to The Human Resistance, replacing all of the ranks with 4 ranks, and making everyone re-apply. Many people were lost when they did not re-apply (because of inactivity; waiting for Serious RP to fixed). Overall, compared to the Lambda Resistance, The Human Resistance did not do much, and eventually got shut down with the Serious RP server. After that, Maeve stepped down as leader (and had her forum account banned), because she was not active, and kept getting hacked by an unknown entity.
