Starting out

After purchasing Garry's mod some time from 2007-2008, Kaiden swiftly stumbled upon BBRPs server, then run by Ben. After quickly settling in he applied for Admin, while regularly playing and getting to know the players and admins alike. After a month, Kaiden was accepted as a Sub admin, applying for Full Admin not long after, paving the way for several other Admins to follow suit. After a struggle to convince Ben ample time had passed, he began accepting Full admins and Kaiden was chosen in the process. From that point forward there was a long period of drama free enjoyment, although this inevitably had to end.

Kudomiku

It was some time later that Kudomiku turned up on the scene and quickly began manipulating the server for his own ends. A combination of adding tools and weapons which directly went against what BBRP stood for, (i.e. adding 1-shot knives and weapon drops on death), and manipulating Ben to avoid repercussions for anything he did. This eventually ended in Kudo taking the gamemode source code he'd obtained through developing and uploaded it to public websites. As well as this, he modified it into his own, Deathmatch promoting game mode which he then hosted for some time, using fake player numbers to lure unsuspecting players in.

Teddi Leaving, Gene Hunt

Perhaps as the Kudo fiasco wasn't bad enough, it was at this point Teddi had been convinced to leave BB. At a not particularly optimal time, this had massive ramifications and left a power vacuum that was hasten to be filled. Gene Hunt was one that was quick to step up and attempt to take Teddi's place at this time. Proclaiming the title "The new Teddi" by his forum avatar, he appeared to not mind one bit that his sucking up to Ben for power was causing disdain throughout parts of the Admin team. Nevertheless, Gene managed to acquire Global Moderator and was set to boycott the Permanent Civil Protection roster for Serious RP.

At this time, several admins including Stanley_Kowalski and Kaiden were starting a revolt, away from the prying eyes of Gene however. Gene made it perfectly clear that he was willing to have anyone demoted who crossed him, so operating in the open wasn't an option. With logs, screenshots and other evidence of Gene's obvious abuse of power, several admins were convinced he wasn't what this server needed.

All of this however became obsolete when Ben announced he may be closing BB, at which point Teddi returned and stepped up, taking over a large part of development and putting Gene back to normal status. Eventually Gene left, most probably not satisfied that he couldn't sway Teddi in the same way he'd accomplished with Ben.

Super Admin

It was quite some time after the previous event, and in between the eventual death of RP08 and the start of new Gametypes such as Death_run, 3 Super Admins were appointed. These were Biff_Johnston, Kaiden and Gman_George. Teddi believed that a more uniform hierarchy would help lessen the large workload of managing the community that he was currently dealing with. There was a global concession that making George a Super Admin was a mistake, and this inevitably became apparent when he stopped bothering to even play on the servers and was eventually demoted.

Biff was a strong SA and provided a unique insight into situations when needed. He helped handle RP work, but eventually decided to step down after the community shifted from RP to other game types.

Kaiden is now the only remaining Super Admin. At the time of promotion he was already managing bans and infractions that went through the forums and servers, and this continued. He is often consulted with on matters of staff and system workings, such as changes for upcoming updates. Renown for mercilessly complaining at Teddi till he gets done what's needed, it's proved a useful hand in the past with server upgrades, and improvements to the community as a whole.

RP Script

Following onwards from the gradual reduction in traffic on DR and other gametypes, attention shifted towards the upcoming RP script (and other to-be-release gametypes). Kaiden was selected as leader of the Police force fairly early in development and he has continued to fine tune the inner workings up to its release, including development ideas of the police station with Killermon mapping.

Additionally, he has contributed several dozen textures towards the RP map, and general ideas including the currency, map names and backstory.

Ultimately the RP script didn't develop into a completed gamemode and was mostly put to one side in 2015. Focus then shifted back onto rebooting the community, which had become stagnant due to the long wait for RP.

2015-2017

With the ultimate decline in forum and server traffic throughout 2015, Kaiden continued to be present. He committed to overseeing any issues or problems that came up, liaising with Teddi to get the community rebooted and active again.

With the Surf server becoming extremely popular late 2015 through 2016, Kaiden actively plays, hiring new BB Admins to manage the servers, and suggesting improvements to maintain and increase the playerbase, whilst maintaining the general community throughout 2016.

In 2017 and with Surf being developed for a full year, the playerbase still continues strong and several additions such as Achievements and dozens of new store items were well received throughout the year. 2017 is planned to continue developing the playerbase and servers.

2018 Onwards

With 2017 staying consistent with an active playerbase on Surf, Kaiden helped to develop maps, items, staff and more for the community. The end of 2017 saw several new maps and items added to the server, alongside bonus stages, custom lottery entries and more. With 2018 planned to continue to deploy new features, Kaiden will remain present to oversee the community.

Through 2019 and 2020, Kaiden continues to help support the server. Surf saw a massive resurgence in players in March of 2020 due to school closures, and benefited from being full several times a week for months. Kaiden helped support the implementation of many "nice to have" features, such as a new chat box and split times.
